Suggested Trip Itinerary – 4 Days / 3 Nights
Day 1 – RIO DE JANEIRO
Arrival in Rio and transfer in with guide assistance.
Accommodation at chosen hotel.
Sunset half-day tour to Sugar Loaf (6hrs).
Return to hotel and evening at leisure.Visitors will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where it is located one of the largest symbols of the city: the Sugar Loaf.
This visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes passengers to Urca Hill, which is 215 meters high and from where one can have a beautiful view from the Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge and Corcovado hill.
From this stage, a second cable car will be taken up to the top with 395 meters to find a splendid view from Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress and some beaches of Niterói.
Day 2 – RIO DE JANEIRO
Half-day tour Historical Downtown by metro.
Return to hotel and balance of the day at leisure.
Our guide will meet passengers at the hotel reception and walk to the subway (the hotel must be near a metro station or a taxi will be needed).
They will be taken back to the past with legends and stories around the narrow streets and old historical buildings of Downtown Rio. The walking tour includes many interesting points such as Candelaria church, Praça XV square, the “Travessa do Mercado” alley, Paço Imperial museum, the cultural center located in the beautifully-restored Banco do Brasil building, the Casa França-Brasil museum, Ouvidor Street and Gonçalves Dias Street, where the traditional Confeitaria Colombo bakery is located (food or beverage not included). The walk continues down to Uruguaiana Street, Carioca Square, up to the Metropolitan Cathedral for the visit. Return to hotel by metro.
Day 2 – RIO DE JANEIRO
Breakfast. Half-day tour to Corcovado (6hrs). Return to hotel and balance of the day at leisure.
From many places in the city, the visitor can see the most beautiful postcard of Rio de Janeiro since 1931: Christ the Redeemer statue located at Corcovado Mountain, 710 meters above the sea level. This tour begins at Cosme Velho neighborhood, from where the cog train starts the trip up to the statue, through the Tijuca Forest. Once there, a panoramic and extraordinary view of Rio will be seeing including the Sugar Loaf, the Guanabara Bay, the beaches of Southern Zone and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.
Day 4 – RIO DE JANEIRO
Breakfast. Morning at leisure and optional tours.
