JEEP TOUR NITEROI CITY

Duration: 6 hours / Minimum of 6 Pax / Regular tour
The tour starts by open jeep until downtown Rio, from where participants will take a local ferry boat (public transportation) towards the city of Niteroi. The navigation will take 30 minutes, with beautiful views of the Guanabara bay and both cities. After the arrival, participants will walk for 10 minutes to the first attraction: a complex of buildings projected by the worldwide famous archichtect Oscar Niemeyer, including the Popular Theater, the Memorial Center Roberto Silveira and the Oscar Niemeyer foundation. Then the route continues by jeep, with external views of more projects from Niemeyer, until the arrival at the most famous one: the Contemporary Art Museum. This construction from 1996, was fully renovated in 2016, and is located on the top of a belvedere, that overlooks Rio de Janeiro from a different perspective. The futuristic shape of this building became a landmark of modern architecture and it is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World in museums by specialized media.
Then the sightseeing continues by jeep, passing by the beaches Flexas, Icaraí and Sao Francisco, until arriving at the hills where the City Park is located. It will be a good opportunity to take amazing pictures of Sugar Loaf, Corcovado and the some beaches of Niteroi.
The last stop will be at Santa Cruz da Barra Fortress, built in 1555, it was the main defensive structure of Guanabara Bay and Rio de Janeiro. A place to carry on the History and admire the natural beauty of the region, with breathtaking views.
The return trip to Rio will be by jeep, passing by the 13km long bridge Presidente Costa e Silva, known as Rio-Niterói Bridge, the largest one in South America.
