AM HALF DAY TOUR AMANO MUSEUM (Not available on Mondays)
Take a tour of the Amano Museum, where you find the finest private collection of Peruvian textiles, including painted cotton pieces, fine cotton cloth from Chancay (an archeological zone in the northern section of the department of Lima), and alpaca wool rugs. You will also learn about a variety of weaving techniques developed by ancient Peruvian weavers.

PM HALF DAY TOUR THROUGH THE ARTISTIC AND BOHEMIAN DISTRICT OF BARRANCO WITH COCKTAIL CLASSES
Discover Barranco, a district with great tradition and history, full of beautiful streets, old houses and small plazas. Barranco is known for being Lima’s most relaxed and bohemian side and for its vibrant cultural agenda, which includes museums, designer boutiques, artisan fairs and concerts. Stroll through the famous Bridge of Sighs and feel the energy of the Lima of yore.
Finish you experience in Lima with a cocktail class at Hotel B, a class designed to educate and inspire with the history of alcohol, the origin of drinks, and by demonstration of proper techniques. You will prepare 3 cocktails: 1 Pisco based, 1 Gin based and 1 Rum based. Each will be paired with tasty tapas according to the profile of the cocktail.

Day 3: Lima, Arequipa

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport to board your departure flight.

12:00 HALF DAY CITY TOUR OF AREQUIPA AND VISIT SANTA CATALINA CONVENT (3 hours)
You will start your tour with a visit to the districts of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara, there you will find a viewpoint from where you will have an unbeatable view of the Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu volcanoes, as well as the city of Arequipa. Then, you will head to the Santa Catalina Monastery, founded in 1580, where you will appreciate its cloisters, picturesque streets and squares. Afterwards, you will walk towards the Historical Center stopping at the Main Plaza, a place that is surrounded by the most representative constructions of the city.

OPTIONAL: 15:00 PICANTERIAS TOUR IN AREQUIPA (3 ½ hours)
We will pick you up from your hotel, to visit four “Picanterías de antaño” (traditional Restaurants of yesteryear), La Benita in Characato, La Lucila in Sachaca, La Capitana and La Nueva Palomino in Yanahuara, here we will appreciate how the Arequipa’ typical dishes are cooked, keeping their customs and traditions such as cooking over woodfire in clay pots, etc. You will also taste at every picantería their most representative dishes such as: Adobo Arequipeño, Zarsa de Patitas, Sencca, Chupe de Camarones, Cuy Chactao, all these dishes paared with the delicious ancestral drink “Chicha de Jora” (We recommend to have a light breakfast)

OPTIONAL: CASA MORAL VISIT (2 ½ hour) (Walking distance)
Located in the Historic Center of Arequipa. A house of the XVIII century, that is one of the oldest and most important monuments of architecture of the baroque time of Arequipa. The house owes its name to an ancient mulberry tree that grows in its main courtyard. Inside, colonial and republican Peruvian furniture is on display. The main entrance of white ashlar stone is a work of art with carefully carved figures.

Day 4: Arequipa, Colca Valley

AM PRIVATE JOURNEY FROM AREQUIPA TO COLCA VALLEY AND VISITS ON ROUTE (173 Km. approx.)
You will leave for Pampa Cañahuas, a place of impressive landscapes and habitat for a large number of vicuñas and local fauna. Then, you will make a stop in Patahuasi, before making another stop in Tocrapampa, where you can see beautiful landscapes and take stunning photos. There you can also see various species of birds typical of the area. Then you will go to the town of Chivay, where you will enjoy a buffet lunch. Finally, you will be transferred to your hotel to enjoy the rest of the afternoon free or take the optional tour to the Hot Springs of La Calera.

Lunch included in a local restaurant in Chivay.

Overnight in Colca Valley

Day 5: Colca Valley, Puno

Breakfast.

AM VISIT TO THE CRUZ DEL CONDOR AND CONTINUE THE JOURNEY TO PUNO (360 Km. approx.)
You will leave your hotel and head to the Cruz del Condor, the best location to admire the Colca Canyon and, if the weather allows it, you can observe the flight of the majestic condors. Then, you will arrive at the town of Maca, where you will visit the church and the local market. Continue to the town of Chivay, where you can take beautiful photos and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. Then, you will go to Patapampa where you can see the impressive landscape of the volcanoes that surround the area. Afterwards, you will make a stop in Patahuasi and in Lagunillas, where you can observe local fauna and the end you will arrive to your hotel in Puno.

Day 6: Puno

AM FULL DAY TOUR TO TITICACA ISLANDS: TAQUILE & UROS (Shared boat, private guide)
(If you are staying at Titilaka Lodge, the activities “A la Carte” are included in the rate, in shared basis)
The trip begins early as you head out of the city of Puno towards Taquile Island, about 35 kilometers away and 3950 m.a.s.l. The culture on the island is old, dating back to Pre-Incan times. The islanders still live according to the traditions and beliefs of their ancestors and are world renowned for their lovely outfits and incredible textiles. In fact, UNESCO has declared the textile art of Taquile Island as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Next, while still on the island, you will visit the community of Huayllano, whose members will show you their normal artistic, handicraft, and farming activities. After this time of sharing, you will enjoy a box lunch and then sail over to the famous Uros Islands, a set of man-made floating islands in the middle of the Lake Titicaca National Reserve. Here, you will meet the islanders, hunters and gatherers and descendants of the first altiplano inhabitants, who still live on totora reed platforms. At the end of the trip, you will be taken back to your hotel.

Day 7: Puno, Cusco

08:00 PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION FROM PUNO TO CUSCO WITH VISIT ON ROUTE (10 hours) (391 Km approx.)
You will leave the city of Puno towards the Lithic Museum of Pucara, a place that houses several rooms, which present lithic material found in excavations throughout the different complexes of the Pucara culture. There, you will also find the site museum of the archaeological complex that bears the same name. Then, continue the tour through La Raya, stopping at the highest point to appreciate the beautiful landscape. Then you will go to a typical restaurant to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. You will continue with a visit to the archaeological complex of Raqchi, also known as the Wiracocha Temple, a place with constructions of impressive size. Then, you will visit the beautiful Church of San Pedro Apostol, before embarking on the way back to the terminal where the transport will be waiting for you.

OPTIONAL: 08:00 TITICACA TRAIN FROM PUNO TO CUSCO WITH LUNCH ON BOARD (10 hours) (Shared service)
Early in the morning, we will leave by train to the city of Cusco, ancient Incan Empire capital. Enjoy the astonishing high Andean plateau landscape, where you will find grazing alpacas and llamas, and little villages scattered along the way with the spectacular background of the Andes. This service, full of romance and style, joins two of the most important Peruvian touristic destinies. As an advantage of the elegant Titicaca Train, it provides a panoramic wagon, with windows on both sides and on the roofs, and open balconies to enjoy open air of the surrounding landscape. You will be served a delicious lunch on board.

Day 8: Cusco

HALF DAY CITY TOUR OF CUSCO, VISIT THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES & THE MAP (PRECOLUMBIAN ART MUSEUM) (5 hours)
Visit to the city of Cusco, also called the Imperial City, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The excursion starts at Koricancha temple, an ancient Inca palace and centre of worship of the sun god, on the site of which the Dominicans ordered a church to be built, which survives to this day. Then to the Main Square, where you will visit the cathedral, the most important religious building in the city. The excursion starts at Sacsayhuaman, an Inca site famous for its enormous stone walls and its view of the city of Cusco. Then to the ruins of Tambomachay, which had an important religious function during the Inca Empire; and Kenko, where the sun, moon and stars were worshipped. Finally, return to the city for a visit to the Museum of Pre-Hispanic Art, one of the few museums dedicated to displaying the art of Peru’s ancient cultures.

Day 9: Cusco, Sacred Valley

08:00 VISIT TO THE PISAC RUINS & OLLANTAYTAMBO FORTRESS
A scenic trip through the Urubamba Valley, known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the ruins in the village of Pisac, with their view across the River Vilcanota. The fortresses, urban complexes, temples and terraced fields, built by the Incas but still well preserved, create an impressive and unforgettable vista. The tour continues in Ollantaytambo, a village that has been inhabited since the Inca era and is considered the oldest on the American continent. stroll the narrow streets of Ollantaytambo and alongside its canals that are the same now as when the Incas reigned. You will also visit the imposing fortress of Ollantaytambo.

LUNCH EXPERIENCE AT CASA HACIENDA SARAPAMPA (2 hours) (Not available on Sundays)
Includes a visit around the Hacienda, welcome drink, three-course lunch menu and soft beverage and tea.

15:00 ANIMATION EXPERIENCE FINISHING WITH AN EXPLANATION WITH TASTING OF ARTISANAL BEER OF SACRED VALLEY (2 hours)
After lunch, you will enjoy the animation experience, which will bring you closer to the world of animated video through a technique called stop motion, it consists of recording frame by frame a series of movements of an object to achieve animation. These objects are images of the Andean imaginary, elaborated in openwork cardboard, and arranged on a light table, are captured by a camera or app that generates a video as a final product.

Day 10: Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred from your hotel to the Ollantaytambo train station.

Arrival, reception and board the Bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu (Shared bus, 30 minutes)

VISIT MACHU PICCHU WITH A LOCAL PRIVATE GUIDE
A visit to one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train the best way to start your visit. When you arrive, you will start the ascent to the ruins, which will without a doubt be one of your most unforgettable experiences. At Machu Picchu you can see one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World and take some impressive photos. Then it is time to back down to Aguas Caliente.

Day 11: Machu Picchu, Cusco

Day 12: Cusco

WORKSHOP: BE A CUSQUEÑO ARTIST AND DISCOVER THE HIDDEN CULTURAL TREASURES (2 hours)
You’ll receive a short brief about Cusqueño Art and its Syncretism (hidden Andean culture with the European fusion). Knowing the history behind the Pucara’s Bulls, the importance in ancient local traditions and how the Art Collective Totemiq is preserving it through the art. You will receive a ceramic Pucara’s Bull handmade by the very Pucara’s artisans and we’ll start the gilding workshop learning traditional and contemporary techniques, applying very thin coatings of different metals such us bronze, copper or aluminum. At this workshop you’ll finish with a fine Cusqueño piece of art created by yourself and you can take it back home receiving all the blessing and mysticism from the sacred bulls.
