Mylodon Cave is 26 km (16 mi.) north of Puerto Natales. It consists of a 129 ha (318 ac) Natural Monument formed by a  30m (98 ft.) high and 200 m (656 ft.) deep cave, with other smaller structures. It forms part of a rocky formation called “Silla del Diablo”. Scientific interest in the site is due to the discovery in 1896 of the skin, bone, hair and droppings of the Mylodon, a giant ground sloth that probably was extinguished in the Pleistocene era. Visit of the area and free time for taking pictures. At the end of tours returns to Puerto Natales.
