FOZ DO IGUAZU

More than twice as large as the Niagara Falls and truly one of the most spectacular sites that nature has to offer, the magnificent Iguassu Falls not only divide the powerful Iguazu River, but also separates Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay borders. Comprising 275 separate falls that stretch for more than 2 km, many of which are over 60.000m in height, it affords visitors breathtaking panoramic views, particularly from the brazilian side.

The Iguassu National Park was established in 1939 and listed by UNESCO as a Natural Heritage of Humanity in 1986. This reserve is located inside a lush tropical rainforest, with a particular rich fauna of over 300 species of birds, including green woodpeckers, birds of prey, toucans and egrets; 44 species of mammals, including tapirs, capybaras, otters and jaguars; and over 1.400 species of butterflies.

Besides enjoying the lifetime experience of the falls, tourists can also visit many other attractions such as Birds Park, Itaipu Dam, Three Boarded mark, and taste great options of restaurants.
