Description: The journey sets out with a drive along the Pan-American Highway heading north to the border of Lake Llanquihue towards Frutillar. A brief tour follows of the town, founded in 1558 by the Spanish conquistadors. The journey continues to the town of Puerto Octay, and after an hour driving along a secondary road, the Entre Lagos district is reached on the shores of Puyehue Lake, which has several islands and resorts including Futacullin Bay, Golgol, Pilmaiquén River, Mantilhue, Puntilla Ñilque, and Termas de Puyehue hot springs. There will be time for lunch (optional) and then a visit to Aguas Calientes, with its two thermal pools (one indoor, the other outdoor) next to Chanleulfu River and where the warm waters flow naturally. A bath may be enjoyed on site (optional) or instead a walk along the trails of the Puyehue National Park, admiring its flora and fauna. Return to hotel driving back along the Pan American Highway.
