In a renovated republican house from the 19th century in the heart of Cartagena’s old city, is Casa Blanca. The tinkle of water fountains and corridors filled with lush, tropical plants gives this boutique hotel a very tranquil feel and it is a great place to reatreat to after a day exploring the city. As the name suggests, white is the colour scheme throughout the hotel and each of the 12 rooms feels bright and fresh. Splashes of colour come from the textiles, plants and flowers.
There is a small lounge area downstairs where guests will enjoy breakfast. As you head further into the hotel there is a small pool then a spectacular roof terrace filled with beautiful plants and featuring another small swimming pool. This is a wonderful place to relax and watch the sun set over Cartagena.
