The Rio Sarapiqui offers over 45 continuous and exciting rapids along more than 16 kilometers of deep-canyon gorges and waterfalls, where sloths, monkeys and tropical birds, such as toucans and the Montezuma Oropendula can easily be observed. The thrilling Rio Sarapqui is located only one hour from La Fortuna. Before the adventure begins guides will give everyone a thorough safety talk and a helmet, a life jacket and a paddle. The participants will be paddling for more than 2 1/2 hours. They will stop along the way for a nice, tropical fruit break and typical lunch is included after the rafting.

Rafters should be ages 13 to 55 and in good physical condition.
If river conditions are unsuitable for the Rio Sarapiqui, the head guide might make the call to change to a back-up river of equal level.
