The adventure starts with a 1 hour and 20 minutes transfer from the hotel in Manuel Antonio to the Savegre River put in. The road trip to the rafting site offers picturesque views of African palm plantations, picturesque hamlets, small rivers and jungle vegetation. The guide will gladly tell the participants all about the things they see along the way. Occasional stops will be made for bathroom breaks or to take photographs. Upon arriving at the put in everyone will receive a safety talk and an opportunity to practice before getting into the river. The rafts in this Manuel Antonio tour are built for 6 passengers. There will also be additional guides in kayaks to ensure everyones safety. Savegre River boasts class III rapids and is filled with bends and turns of excitement. They will spend approximately 2 ½ hours in the raft taming the rapids, taking occasional stops to rest and admire the nature around. At the end, the river waters become calm and easy, allowing the participants to take a closer look at birds flying overhead and the colorful vegetation adorning the shoreline. The drive back to the base camp will be much shorter and takes about 30 minutes. There everyone can change their clothes and savor a delicious homemade meal. Transportation back to the hotel will be provided.
Important:- This river boasts class III rapids all year long, during dry season it also boasts some class 2 rapids. – Participants must be at least 8 years old.
