FROG POND TOUR – 1 HOUR

Tours | Jan 20 | 2021 | No Comment

The Monteverde Frog Pond is managed by a group of biologists, naturalist guides, and conservationists and is much more than an amphibian zoo, provides education and the opportunity to know and change our attitudes about these animals. The Monteverde Frog Pond has created terrariums where the natural habitat of each species is produced, allowing animals to live safely and able to reproduce, while enjoying its beautiful color. After your guided tour in the terrariums that simulate natural niches, you can quietly walk in the exhibition of species of frogs and their natural history. In the reptile exhibit you can admire more than 28 species of frogs and toads, to find many species that are unique of the tropics of Costa Rica, like the poisonous frog Blue Jeans and the frog of Red Eyes. It is indoors and is an excellent opportunity for a rainy day.

Schedule: 9:00 am to 8:30 pm.
