Inaugurated in February, 1992, this new reserve is silent and little explored, offering marvelous views of the Arenal Volcano on clear days. All the projects being developed here are focused on the educational development of the region as three hundred and ten hectares bordering the Monteverde Conservation area have been permanently leased by the administration of the Santa Elena community High School.
