Tours | Jun 16 | 2020 | No Comment

We will be transferred to the station to board the Belmond Andean Explorer train to the city of Puno. Once on board, we will enjoy lunch before reaching Raqchi that was built by Inca Pachacutec – is also known as the Temple of Wiracocha because of its buildings whose walls can reach 20 meters high. At a side of the main structure, we can find more than a hundred circular “colcas” (storages) where Incas kept potato, meat, etc. that were used not only for ceremonies but also for people on transit when using the Inca Trail. We will board the train again for tea-time and enjoy sunset during the journey. Dinner and overnight onboard. We wake-up having the amazing view of the Titicaca Lake and the Andean plateau in front of us. We enjoy breakfast and can take the optional tour to Taquile island or await till check-out time.
