BOGOTA – CARTAGENA -BARU ISLANDS

Welcome to Bogotá, the multicultural capital of Colombia. Reception and transfer from International Airport of Bogota to the hotel of your choice. Overnight.

Breakfast. A staff member will meet you at the hotel to take you on a tour around the historic center of the city. The first stop will be at Plaza de Bolivar to walk along the streets and take a close look of the most important buildings of the city, such as the National Capitol, which is the center of the country’s legislative life; “Casa de los Comuneros”; Casa de Nariño, which is the Presidential house; and the Santa Clara Church Museum.
The tour includes a visit to the Gold Museum, which exhibits about 34,000 pieces of metalwork from various Hispanic cultures and a visit to the House Museum Quinta de Bolivar, the house belonged to Simon Bolivar. The tour continues to the iconic symbol of Bogota, the Monserrate Hill rising up to 3,152 above sea level, to visit the sanctuary where you will find the statue of the Lord of Miracles. From there it is possible to enjoy the best view of Bogota. Return to the hotel and overnight.

• Gold Museum and Quinta de Bolivar closed on Mondays; instead, we visit “Museo de Botero and Museo Casa de la Moneda”.

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport as scheduled, to take a flight to Cartagena (Flight Ticket is not included). Welcome to Cartagena, known as “El Corralito de piedra”. Reception and transfer from International Airport of Cartagena to the hotel of your choice. Overnight.

Breakfast. At the agree time, one of our representatives will pick you up at the hotel to take you on a tour around Cartagena de Indias. The tour starts at the modern neighborhoods of Bocagrande and Manga, where you will be able to see the contrast between modern architecture and the beauty of the old houses from the twentieth century. Then, we will visit the Castle where the Spaniards sought to protect the city from the attacks of the English in the seventeenth century, “El Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas” .At the end, we will walk around the historic downtown, visiting the San Pedro Claver Church and then the Emerald museum. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the pier where you will take a shared boat to bring you to the hotel at Barú. It will take about 60 minutes traveling through the Cartagena bay. Arrival and Check in. Lodging
