Upon arrival, you are driven to the nearby is the town of Maras, you will enjoy a panoramic visit where the finest salt in the world is extracted. Next, you will travel to Moray and tour the enormous circular and semi-circular agricultural terraces built into the top of a hill overlooking the Urubamba Valley and used by the Incas as a botanical laboratory. Last stop of the day is at Ollantaytambo; an Incan military, religious, and agricultural center located in the highest point on the mountain. From the perspective of the archaeological site, you will look down upon the town of the same name and see its incredibly narrow streets and canals that have not changed since the Incas constructed them. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Finally, you will be taken back to your hotel around noon so you can take advantage of the hotel facilities. We strongly recommend to use the indoor pool and relax during the afternoon

A visit to one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. The excursion starts with a train trip to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train the best way to start your visit. When you arrive, you will start the ascent to the ruins, which will without a doubt be one of your most unforgettable experiences. At Machu Picchu you can see one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World and take some impressive photos.

Finally, you return to Aguas Calientes, board the train for the return journey

MORNING EXPLORING THE CITY AND NEARBY INCA SITES

You will visit the city of Cusco, known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site b y UNESCO. Continue to Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and cult center of the Sun God, above which the order of the Dominicans built a church, which remains standing to this day. You will continue ascending to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, an impressive example of Inca military architecture. Afterwards, you will explore Q’enqo archeological site, where important Inca ceremonies took place. Finally, you will arrive to the Plaza de Armas (main square), where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city. We will close the tour with a visit to the San Blas neighborhood, famous for its artisans.
